Tras una semana bien merecida de descanso, vuelvo al Blog con algunas reseñas que tenía pendientes por hacer. La primera, es sobre esta nueva versión del famoso tónico que Klairs lanzó hace unos meses para cubrir algunos problemas que causaba la otra formulación en personas con piel más sensible.
La verdad es que en mi piel que no es tan sensible, no logro hallar la diferencia sustancial entre ambos tónicos, pero más que seguro que si tienes problemas con los aceites esenciales, éste es un producto que te agradaría probar.

After a well deserved week of rest -since in here are school vacations-, I return to the Blog with some reviews that I had in mindto do. The first one is about this new version of the famous Supple prepation toner that Klairs launched months ago to cover some problems caused by the other formulation in people with more sensitive skin.
The truth is that in my skin that is not so sensitive, I cannot find the substantial difference between both toners, but more than sure that if you have problems with essential oils, this is a product that you would like to try.

El tónico sin perfume de Klairs es la segunda versión del tónico facial de preparación flexible. El tónico sin perfume es la segunda versión del tónico original que excluyó todos los aceites esenciales, lo que lo hace libre de olores. The unscented toner is the second version of the original toner that excluded all essential oil, which makes it scent-free. While the original toner contains non-irritating all natural essential oil, the unscented was made to provide an option for customers’ preference to scents.
How to use
After cleansing, apply the toner to clean skin. Pat with palms for complete absorption.

El empaque esta vez es extremadamente similar al del tónico original, salvo por unos pequeños detalles en cuanto a color y transparencia de la botella.
Esta botella del tónico sin perfume viene en tonos lavanda claros, y además la botella es transparente y la tapa es plateada, por lo que puedes ver fácilmente el contenido en su interior, cosa que anteriormente no era posible al tener el tónico original un empaque café oscuro.
No sé si haya sido una buena estrategia o no este cambio de empaque oscuro a uno transparente, pues el tónico sigue conteniendo vitamina C.
En todo lo demás, ambos tónicos tienen empaque similar, aunque éste además incluye el símbolo de expiración tras la apertura.

This time this Unscented toner package is extremely similar to the original toner, except for a few small details in terms of color and transparency of the bottle.
This Unscented toner bottle comes in light lavender tones, and in addition the bottle is transparent and the screw cap is silver, so you can easily see the contents inside, which previously wasn't possible to see since the original toner has dark brown packaging.
I don't know if this change was a good strategy or not (from dark packaging to a transparent one) as the toner still contains vitamin C.
In everything else, both toners have similar packaging, although this one also includes the expiration symbol after opening.
El tónico original de Klairs me gusta mucho y realmente no tengo muchos "peros" con él, pero existen personas a las que les molesta de plano el que algún producto tenga perfume, o también hay personas que tienen piel sensible y presentan sensibilidad a ciertos ingredientes, como por ejemplo aceites esenciales.
Lo que hay de diferente en este tónico "Sin aroma", es que quitaron todos los aceites esenciales de la formulación, por lo que si tu problema iba por ese lado, ésta es una opción segura para el uso. Lamentablemente, si tu sensibilidad se relaciona con otros ingredientes (como el butylene glycol por ej), no hubo cambio en ese sentido, así que sigue siendo una opción no aconsejable para tí.
A pesar de que lo han marqueteado como tónico sin aroma, eso quiere decir que no lleva fragancia añadida, y la verdad es que si tiene un aroma a plástico. No es ese aroma herbal agradable que tiene el tónico original, incluso es menos agradable.
Lo he probado por mes y medio, y realmente no siento diferencia alguna con el tónico original más allá de diferencias irrelevantes que les he mencionado antes. Ambos son ideales para cuando la piel se encuentra sensible o herida, ambos tienen la misma viscosidad y capacidad de absorción en la piel, ambos son hidratantes y ambos tienen pH5.
Más abajo en swatches les dejé un experimento en mi rostro donde probé -mitad y mitad- cómo se comportan ambos tónicos en cuanto a hidratación, y es algo concluyente, son iguales.

Así que en conclusión, ¿Recomiendo este tónico?
Pues sólo si tienes problemas definitivos con los aceites esenciales o la fragancia.
Si no eres de ese grupo, mejor sigue con el tónico original...
Actualmente mi marido es quien está usando este tónico como parte de su muy corta rutina de cuidado facial y le encanta porque se siente refrescante y ligero.

I like a lot the original supple preparation facial toner and I really don't have many "cons" with it -despite I'm inlove by the IsNtree H.A toner 😌- but there are people who are concerned by the fact that some product has perfume added, or also there are people who have sensitive skin and are sensitive to certain ingredients, such as essential oils.
What is different in this "Unscented" toner is that they removed all the essential oils from the formulation, so if your problem was on that side, this is a safe option for use. Unfortunately, if your sensitivity is related to other ingredients (such as butylene glycol for example), there was no change in that sense, so it's still an option not advisable for you.
Although it has been marketed as an "unscented" toner, that means that it doesn't have an added fragrance, and the truth is that it does have a plastic aroma. It's not that pleasant herbal aroma that the original toner has, it's even less pleasant.
I've tried it for a month and a half, and I really don't feel any difference to the original toner beyond irrelevant differences that I mentioned before. Both are ideal for when the skin is sensitive or wounded, both have the same viscosity and absorption capacity in the skin, both are moisturizing and both have pH5.
Further down in swatches I left an experiment in my face where I tried - half and half - how both toners behave in terms of hydration, and is somewhat conclusive, they act the same.

So in conclusion, do I recommend this toner?
Well, only if you truly have problems with essential oils or fragrance.
If you're not from that group, better keep with the original toner...
Currently my husband is the one who is using this toner as part of his very short skincare routine and he loves it because it feels "refreshing and light".

Espero que esta reseña te haya parecido útil. Lamento que haya sido tan corta esta vez, pero de verdad que en mi practicidad, y dado que mi piel no es tan reactiva, siento la experiencia con ambos tónicos igual. No hay cambio en cuanto a hidratación, ni a sensibilidad en momentos sensibles de mi piel.
