[Nakeup Face] 10% AHA Scaling Cream

12 feb 2020

---------

It took me a long time to finish this review, but you know what? When I love a product, I need more time than usual to review it, use it and analyze it, because I would really hate to have to write a biased revision. However, now that I have tried other products with AHA, and another 10% cream in a similar type and formulation, I'm going to give you my final verdict on the 10% AHA cream from Nakeup face.

It is not the first time that I write about this brand in my blog, so I will save the introduction about the brand. We will go straight to the product information and everything they want to know.

Name of the product: 10% AHA Scaling cream
Content: 30 ml.
Lifespan: 12 months after opened
Function: exfoliating, whitening, moisture
Ingredients: listed as below.
Directions: Use it after the toner, or as a night cream.

Water, Glycolic Acid, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Hyaluronic Acid, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Niacinamide, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Triethanolamine, Lippia Citriodora Leaf Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glyceryl Stearate, Beeswax, Capric/Caprylic triglycerides, Neopentyl glycol diheptanoate, PEG-100 stearate, Hamamelis Virginiana Water, Polyacrylate-13, Polyisobutene, Polysorbate 20, Polyacrylamide, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Laureth-7, Allantoin, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Caulerpa Lentillifera Extract, Codium Fragile Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Arginine

----

This cream has changed a bit since their first edition. Before it was bigger (50 ml size), Black cap, white jar with black font. Black and white box with brand logo printed inside. Holographic logo on the cap and the jar.

Now it's a bit tiny (30 ml), silver cap, white jar with silver font writing. Logo is super simple and monochromatic. Ingredients has changed a little bit too, please refer to the ingredient tab above.

---------

To begin, I will tell you that with my friend Maca we have a kind of cream cult. We're both addicted to it. We only had to use a few sachets to fall in love with it because its effect were quite fast and noticeable.

This cream, containing glycolic acid and niacinamide, helps exfoliate and brighten (get rid of hyper pigmentation too) skin. The brand indicates everything it can do:

1.- Relieves skin problems caused by excessive sebum and pores blockage. IT DOES

2.- Controls sebum secretion and improves blackheads and whiteheads. IT DOES

3.- Increase the absorption of active ingredients. I SUPPOSE

4.- Soothes irritated skin and protects the skin from the sun's rays (?). IT DOES CALM .

5.- It makes the skin have a normal cycle of renewal and rejuvenates it. IT DOES

6.- Effective in brightening the skin tone. IT DOES.

On the pimples, it acts during the night lowering the inflamation thanks to the action of the Allantoin and the centella asiatica extracts, in addition to the exfoliating function of glycolic acid, and if you had the bad decision to pick on them, it will heal them in 3-5 days, even treating the post inflammatory pigmentation.

How do I use it?

Being very stubborn with the advice of the brand, my favorite way, is like night cream. I do my double cleaning, I apply my things (a.k.a First essence, toner, serums, oil) and I apply the cream as a final step when the skin is all plumped like a mochi. I could use it every night, but as I always tell you, "listen" to your skin: my skin in days before menstruation becomes a sensitive girl like me and feels more the glycolic itching, so those nights I give it some rest and change tne Nakeup face cream for a soft peeling gel, or for a very gentle PHA like that from CNP.

There are two things to clarify with this cream:

1st: it is a chemical exfoliant of glycolic acid.
2nd: it is very moisturizing and thick.

For this reason, I can't recommend it to all skin types, because it contains as a second ingredient the feary but well-loved glycolic acid, that can be irritating and problematic in sensitive skin, in skin with rosacea and in skin with its barrier in poor condition.
For the moisture side (it contains argan oil, jojoba, macadamia and safflower oil) you have to check if your skin is able to tolerate this nutritional oil contribution. Even so, I wouldn't say that oily and acne prone skin can't use it, since safflower oil and jojoba oil are beneficial for acne skin, and are somewhat lighter than those of argan and macadamia.

As I always say, try and see if you like it, but don't just avoid something that could help you. Also remember that this cream exists in 5% and 10% versions. If you have sensitive skin, you can use the 5% cream and try. Several people with sensitive skin and rosacea took risks, tried and loved it. Just give it a try.

Like any exfoliating product, and especially with glycolic, it will itch. But you'll notice it the first few times, or when your skin is sensitive. Now, when you get used to it you can use it every night as a night cream if you want and the skin is very soft, saying give me more haha.

In any case, be careful to apply it very close to the eye area. If you sweat or rub your eyes, you will enter into the eyes and believe me, that the ardor is a hell.

The effect of AHAs is limited to their use. While you can feel the skin excellent, very smooth, soft, bright and beautiful, I don't recommend stopping the use of the product. I have already done it three times to try other products and I have returned as a regretful dog shaking its tail because it's the only AHA that I like to use now. For comfort as well as results. Any AHA effect will last 7 days and then the skin will return to the way it was before use, so please, if you love this cream, always have a small bottle of replacement, and have a constant use.

Being super objective, the improvements I saw with this cream were the following:

- Improved skin appearance
- Brightened skin
- Smooth skin and more even texture
- Controlled keratosis
- Acne reduction
-  Acne marks depigmentation
- Lasting moisture

I take this opportunity to tell you that I have finished this cream, and I am using a VANT36.5 cream (50 ml) that also has glycolic, niacinamide, almond oil and macadamia, but it has other things like Panthenol, tomato extracts, celery, rice and various silicones. It's very similar with the Nakeup face crea, but... But!

But it doesn't act strong against pimples like Nakeup face cream. Another point that I have noticed differently (I've been using it for a little more than a month) is that at the beginning I had a small purge, it doesn't moisturize as much as Nakeup's, it stings a little more. The packaging is airless, in that I grant a plus versus that of Nakeup, which in that new edition no longer brings a spoon.

But, Stingy's team... it's very difficult to get, and where I have seen it, they have it at 50 dollars. What is an extremely unreal price, because on the Korean website its value is about 30 dollars. Even so, the Nakeup face is more convenient for us and that is why it is finally my recommended cream.

My skin last year started in a very poor condition... after a lot of stress, without being able to take care of it properly, It was irritated, with pimples and the keratosis had returned to its own. The period in which I used this cream steadily was from February to September. The first measuring range was from February to May, which is when I finished the 50 gr jar. and I tried to use the AHA 8% Isntree serum (I left it for boring and uncomfortable and went back to Nakeup cream) and from mid-May to September.

Currently, I'm not using this cream since it ended, but I'm using AHA 10% Vant's. But I have a picture of how my skin is currently on the sides, which is where keratosis always bothers again.
