¿Les ha pasado alguna vez que el haber confiado en la popularidad de un producto y que luego de experimentar con ese producto, te lleves tamaña decepción?
Si es así, entonces me entenderán.
La primera experiencia que tuve con la marca Pyunkang Yul había sido extremadamente positiva, tanto porque el producto que había elegido había calzado perfectamente con mi piel y con lo que yo esperaba del producto y lo que logré. Por eso es que luego me aventuré con más productos de la marca, esperando también resultados positivos.
Lamentablemente, pese a que ambos productos tenían una base confiable de reseñas positivas, me pasó lo que el concepto de YMMV (your miles may vary, o, los resultados pueden variar) te indica: no tuve una buena experiencia como esperaba.
Es por eso, que otra cosa que tuve que pensar mucho fue: ¿hago estas reseñas individuales o de modo conjunto?. Y es que ya me conocen, me cuesta mostrar entusiasmo o dar reseñas extensas cuando me ha ido mal con un producto. Me carga echar mierda, no es lo mío...pero sin embargo por el bien común, y básicamente por la honestidad y sinceridad, hay que decir las cosas positivas y negativas, para contrastar.
Antes de comenzar la reseña, quiero decirles que no usé estos productos por unas veces y listo. Les di a ambos varias oportunidades para que me convencieran, y para ver si mi piel los toleraba, y debo decir que definitivamente mi piel no los quiere, no los soporta y no los tolera.
Dicho eso, comencemos con la reseña conjunta de estos dos productos de Pyunkang Yul, enfocados para piel seca y sensible.

Before starting the review, I want to tell you that I didn't use these products for a few times and that's it. I gave them both several opportunities to convince me, and to see if my skin tolerated them, and I must say that my skin definitely doesn't want them, doesn't like them and doesn't tolerate them.
That said, let's start with the joint review of these two products from Pyunkang Yul, that are focused on dry and sensitive skin.

Tónico Esencia
Restaurar, mejora y revitaliza! El Tónico esencia restablece el equilibrio correcto del pH de la piel, hidrata profundamente y revitaliza la piel áspera y sin brillo. Este tónico sin agua es viscoso y espeso pero sorprendentemente rápido al absorberse y no deja residuos ni acabado pegajoso.
Con solo siete ingredientes (91.3% de extracto de Huang Ki), este tónico está lleno de ingredientes con propiedades antiinflamatorias y anti-patógenas (antibacterianas, antifúngicas) y antioxidantes para ayudar a mejorar la circulación. Además ayuda a fortalecer la barrera cutánea donde comienzan la sequedad y las arrugas. La raíz de astrágalo ayuda a inhibir las enzimas que degradan la elastina para mantener la piel flexible y firme y ha sido ampliamente utilizada en la medicina herbal oriental durante miles de años para fortalecer el sistema inmune y restaurar la vitalidad.
Modo de uso

Como les conté en una reseña anterior, la línea clásica de Pyunkang Yul tiene diseños muy sobrios -aburridos para muchos- que a mí me encantan, tanto por el sencillo detalle en sus cajas -el uso de papel reciclado y la información en inglés- como por el uso de frascos o botellas oscuras -azul- que ayudan a la mejor conservación del producto al proteger de la luz.
Tanto el tónico como la crema vienen en cajas que traen la información necesaria, ya sea conteniendo descripción, modo de uso, lista de ingredientes y fechas de caducidad/símbolos de expiración.
El tónico viene en una botella azul plástica, que tiene en un costado la fecha de expiración del producto, aunque en su caja puedes ver los símbolos de expiración tras la apertura (12 meses) y de shelf life (24 meses). Su dispensador es un simple agujero.
El gel balanceante viene contenido en un frasco de vidrio, con tapa rosca. Tiene impresa la fecha de expiración en la base del frasco, pero en la etiqueta no tiene información en inglés. El empaque es exactamente igual al de la crema Nutrition, incluso con la tapa para prevenir derrames. Tiene su propia cuchara.

As I told you all in a previous Pyunkang Yul review, the classic line of this brand has very traditional designs, boring for many but that I love, like for the simple detail in their boxes and for using recycled paper and having information in english, as for the use of dark bottles that help to the best conservation of the product protecting them from light.
Both the toner and the gel comes in boxes that bring the necessary information, either containing description, directions, ingredients lists and expiration dates/expiration after opening symbols.
The toner comes in a blue plastic bottle, which has the expiration date of the product printed at a side of the bottle, although in its box you can see the expiration symbols by the opening (12 months) and the shelf life (24 months). The dispenser is a simple hole in a plastic cap.
The balancing gel comes in a glass jar, with screw cap. It has an expiration date printed on the base of the bottle, but on the label it doesn't have information in english. The package is exactly the same as the Nutrition cream, even with the lid to prevent spills. It has its own spoon.

Estos dos productos los usé por tiempos específicos en distintos meses, para testear su reacción y evolución en mi piel, y cómo se comportaban.
Tengo las mediciones de wayskin para que vayan viendo en números lo que expresaré aquí con palabras, son dos experiencias distintas en base al modo de aplicación de los productos, pero que igualmente tuve que cortar abruptamente porque me di cuenta de que no solo no le estaban haciendo bien a mi piel, sino que además la estaban dañando.
Tengo las mediciones de wayskin para que vayan viendo en números lo que expresaré aquí con palabras, son dos experiencias distintas en base al modo de aplicación de los productos, pero que igualmente tuve que cortar abruptamente porque me di cuenta de que no solo no le estaban haciendo bien a mi piel, sino que además la estaban dañando.
Presentación: La presentación del tónico es una botella de 200 ml de un líquido algo viscoso -menos viscoso que el tónico de hialurónico de IsNtree y más viscoso que el tónico de Klairs-. No tiene color.
El gel balanceante viene en un frasco de vidrio y contiene 100 ml de producto, además de una espátula para poder tomar el producto desde el empaque. Es un gel engañoso, cuya apariencia no tiene nada que ver con la textura que sentiremos al aplicarlo, tampoco tiene color.
Aroma: a pesar de que ambos productos son libres de perfume, el tónico tiene olor a hierbas medicinales y el gel balanceante tiene un aroma como a raíz. No son olores molestos, y además se desvanecen rápido tras haber sido aplicados.
Textura: El tónico tiene textura líquida un poco viscosa, se esparce fácilmente por la piel, aunque se evapora rápido.
El gel balanceante posee una textura curiosa, ya que al ser sacado del frasco lo ves muy trabajable y líquido, pero al ser puesto en la piel su textura es muy muy viscosa, e incluso ofrece resistencia al frote.
Ingredientes: Ambos productos tienen en común el uso de la raíz del astrágalo, usado en la medicina tradicional coreana para calmar sensibilidades o alergias, y como acondicionador y emoliente para reparar la barrera cutánea.
El tónico además de el extracto de raíz de astrágalo, lleva arginina, que es un aminoácido similar al que se halla en la piel, que ayuda a la recuperación de heridas.
El gel balanceante, además del extracto de raíz, lleva aceite de jojoba, que es un emoliente.
Mi experiencia: Lo usé por dos periodos, cortos períodos, pues mi piel no reaccionó bien. Usé distintos métodos de aplicación y uso, para testear si los productos eran flexibles en ese sentido, o si los productos podían ser usados para distintos fines.
El primer período, fue desde el 14 de Marzo, hasta el día 21. Comencé testeando mi piel durante toda esa semana y me llevé algunas sorpresas. Lo primero, es que la humectación en mi piel bajó notablemente en comparación al período cuando usaba la crema nutrition de la misma marca, eso lo noté especialmente en las mediciones post rutina, que suelo hacer tras media hora de hecha la rutina, y en donde los niveles variaron mucho.
Lo segundo, es que mi piel aparte de ya no estar tan hidratada y humectada, perdía esta poca humectación con más facilidad.
Por ende, mi piel comenzó a irritarse.
El colmo de toda esta situación diaria, fue un día en que probé cómo se comportaría el tónico essence al ser utilizado como "mascarilla", apliqué una cantidad generosa del tónico en los algodones especiales de Skinfood y los puse en mi rostro, en mejillas y frente.
Tras 15 minutos, si bien yo sentí mi piel calmada, al quitarlos la vi tirante. De esa tirantez que obtienes cuando te lavas la cara con un limpiador alcalino y no te aplicas tónico, algo que jamás me había pasado al utilizar un tónico...
Con el gel balanceante tuve una experiencia similar, pues el primer modo de aplicación que utilicé, fue simplemente aplicarlo en el rostro como paso final, y tratar de esparcirlo en vez de presionarlo. Esparcir este gel es extremadamente difícil, pero una vez que lo conseguía, mi piel que quedaba brillantemente jugosa, a los 5 minutos estaba con un acabado mate, seca y algo áspera al tacto.
Aplicar los siguientes productos también se hacía dificultoso, el bloqueador lo debía aplicar a toques, quedando algo parchoso y nada parejo, y el maquillaje cushion tendía a lucir menos jugoso de lo habitual.
Tras esa semana de resequedad, suspendí el uso y retomé mi rutina normal, testeando otros hidratantes, donde volví a mis niveles normales de hidratación.
El segundo período fue del 4 de Abril hasta el 10 del mismo mes. Acá cambié el método de aplicación al indicado por la marca en sus afiches publicitarios y si bien obtuve mejoras notables respecto a la hidratación, éstas se vieron opacadas por la experiencia general y las dificultades en el uso de los productos y su interacción con otros productos, además de una reacción de mi piel a quizás, el exceso de fricción que tuve que realizar durante esa semana.
El modo sugerido de aplicación del tónico esencia, es aplicar el tónico en un algodón o pétalo y utilizar ese algodón para esparcirlo por la cara. En otras webs indican que luego debes dar vuelta ese algodón y palmetearlo suavemente.
Ese método, si bien soy enemiga del uso de algodones en los tónicos, me resultó en cuanto obtuve buenos resultados tanto en hidratación de la piel, como en reducción de la pérdida de la humedad en ella.
El gel balanceante lo apliqué como se indica: con la espátula debes tomar el producto del frasco y aplicar en distintos puntos del rostro y cuello. No se debe esparcir ni frotar, sino simplemente presionar o palmetear la piel y así se absorberá fácilmente.
Este método también funcionó en cuanto a dar más hidratación a la piel, obtener una piel "jugosa" por más tiempo, y para mantener la hidratación a lo largo del día, no en los niveles a los que estaba acostumbrada con la crema nutrition, pero al menos a niveles más óptimos que lo normal.
Lo malo, o negativo...es que a la hora de querer aplicar protector solar, o cualquier otro producto que necesita ser esparcido, el gel balanceante y esa capa tan especial que deja en la piel, no deja que el producto se aplique correctamente, ni menos se asiente en la piel.
Parches secos, bloqueador disparejo, bb cuarteada, son algunos de los problemas que experimenté. Y precisamente esa dificultad en aplicar cualquier otro producto posterior, es lo que me llevó a terminar con la cara irritada, y en mis patillas, muchos puntitos rojos que calmé con la aplicación de los pads de Petitfee.
Entonces, como conclusión de acuerdo a mi experiencia...lamentablemente este tónico no le sirve a mi piel. No te diré que es malo, porque no lo es. Tiene ingredientes simples y suaves, una lista cortita donde nada es irritante.
Pero simplemente se queda corto en entregar hidratación y humectación, que es algo que mi piel ya normal, necesita, y que es algo que me da sin dificultad el tónico de Isntree.
Además, el que cambie la experiencia por el modo de uso, y más cuando ese modo de uso implica tener que obligatoriamente usar algodones en mi rostro, es algo que no me gusta. Evito en lo posible la fricción en mi rostro, y ésta que usualmente con los tónicos es innecesaria, con éste tónico, es un deber para que funcione.
No sé si en piel seca pueda funcionar apropiadamente...tampoco sé si aquellos con piel sensible tolerarán pasarse algodones noche y día.
Respecto al gel balanceante, si bien la primera vez es entretenido ver su particular textura, en la piel ya no resulta agradable. Aplicar con palmaditas es cansador, y tener que aplicar consecuentemente todo el resto de productos siguientes (protector solar, primer, maquillaje) del mismo modo, cansa y satura.
Porque claro, podrías intentar aplicarlo esparciendo, pero el gel no te daría el acabado húmedo hidratante. E igual costaría aplicar los siguientes productos.
La capa que deja este gel en la piel hace que sea muy difícil aplicar productos tras este paso de hidratación. Por eso creo que la única forma de poder utilizarlo bien, sería como hidratante de noche, o cuando no vayas a salir ni acercarte a un balcón. Su acabado y textura lo hace incompatible con otros productos, y también durante su uso debes tener mucho cuidado de que lo que hayas aplicado antes se haya absorbido bien, para que no se forme una pasta blanquecina.
Podría funcionar como hidratante de noche, o sleeping pack...pero aplicando más cantidad de producto, y no aplicando nada más después.
Si bien mi experiencia esta vez fue nada cercana a lo que esperaba obtener, no me rindo con esta marca y seguiré probando otros productos...sigo recomendando la crema nutrition, si tu piel es seca o quieres un acabado bonito brillante y jugoso. Tengo en la mira el moisture serum y el aceite, cruzo los dedos porque éstos si me resulten bien.

I've used both products for specific times in different months, to test my skin reaction and evolution with this products, and how they behaved on it.
I have all my wayskin screenshots measurements, so that you can see in numbers what I will express here with words. In there, are two different experiences based on the way I used this products, but that I also had to cut abruptly because I realized that not only they weren't doing any good to my skin , but they were also damaging it.
Presentation: essence toner is a 200 ml bottle of a slightly viscous liquid - less viscous than IsNtree's hyaluronic toner and more viscous than Klairs' supple preparation toner. It doesn't have any color.
The balancing gel comes in a glass bottle and contains 100 ml of product, plus a spatula/spoon to take the product from the packaging. It is a tricky gel product, whose appearance has nothing to do with the texture that we will feel when applying it, it doesn't have color either.
Aroma: despite the fact that both products are perfume-free, the toner has a smell of medicinal herbs and the balancing gel has an aroma like roots. They aren't annoying scents, and also fade quickly after being applied.
Texture: The toner has a slightly viscous liquid texture, it spreads easily through the skin, although it evaporates quickly.
The balancing gel has a curious texture, since when you take it from the jar you see it's very workable and liquid, but when has been put on the skin its texture is very very viscous, and even offers resistance to rubbing.
Ingredients: Both products have in common the use of astragalus root, used in traditional Korean medicine to calm sensitivities or allergies, and as a conditioner and emollient to repair the skin barrier.
The toner in addition to the astragalus root extract , it has arginine, which is an aminoacid similar to that found in the skin, which helps the recovery of wounds.
The balancing gel, in addition to the root extract, contains jojoba oil, which is an emollient.
My experience: I used it for two periods, short periods, because my skin didn't reacted well. Picked different methods of application and use, to test if the products were flexible in that sense, or if the products could be used for different purposes.
The first period was from March 14 to the 21st. I started testing my skin all that week with the wayskin and I got some surprises. The first thing is that the moisture in my skin decreased significantly compared to the period when I used the nutrition cream from the same brand, that I noticed especially in the post-routine measurements, which I usually do after half an hour of the routine, and where the levels varied a lot.
The second thing is that my skin, apart from not being so hydrated and moisturized, lost this little moisture more easily. TEWL so fast 😔. Therefore, my skin began to get irritated.
The worst of all this daily situation, was a day in which I tested how the essence toner would behave when used as a "sheet mask", I applied a generous amount of the toner in the special skinfood cottons and put them on my face, cheeks and front.
After 15 minutes, although I felt my skin calm, when I removed the cottons I saw it tight. That tightness you get when you wash your face with an alkaline cleanser and you don't apply any toner, something that had never happened to me when using a toner, especially a moisturizing one...
With the balancing gel I had a similar experience, because the first way that I used, was simply to apply it on the face as a final step, and try to spread it instead of pressing it. Spreading this gel is extremely difficult, but once I got it, my skin that was brightly juicy, at 5 minutes was a matte finish, dry and somewhat rough to the touch 😓.
Applying the following products was also difficult, must apply the sunscreen only patting it, leaving some sides patchy and uneven, and the cushion makeup tended to look less juicy than usual.
After that week of dryness, I stopped using it and went back to my normal routine, testing other moisturizers, where I returned to my normal levels of hydration.
The second period was from April 4 to 10 of the same month. Here I changed the method of application to the one indicated by the brand in their advertising posters and although I obtained remarkable improvements regarding to moisture, these were overshadowed by the general experience and the difficulties in the use of the products and their interaction with other products, besides a reaction of my skin to perhaps, the excess friction that I had to perform during that week.
The suggested way of applying the essence toner is to apply the toner on a cotton or pad and use that soaked cotton to spread it over the face. In other websites indicate that then you should turn that cotton and pat it gently. I did that too.
This method, although I'm an enemy of using toners with cottons, found as soon as I got good results in both skin hydration,as in reducing the loss of moisture in it. yay for it, I couldn't believe that, really!.
I applied the balancing gel as indicated: with the spatula you should take the product from the bottle and apply in different points of the face and neck. Don't spread it or rub it, but simply press or pat the skin and it will be easily absorbed.
This method also worked in terms of giving more moisture to the skin, obtaining a "juicy" skin for longer, and to maintain hydration throughout the day, not at the levels to which I was accustomed with the nutrition cream, but at least at more optimal levels than normal.
The bad, or negative side of this... is that when I needed to apply sunscreen, or any other product that needs to be spread, the balancing gel and that special layer that sits on the skin, doesn't allow the product to be applied correctly, no less sits on the skin.
Dry patches, uneven sunscreen, cracked bb were some of the problems I experienced. And precisely this difficulty in applying any other product later, is what led me to end up with an irritation on my skin, especially in my sideburns, many little red dots that I calmed down with the application of the Petitfee pads.
So, as a conclusion according to my experience... unfortunately this essence toner doesn't goes well with my skin. I won't tell you that this product is bad, because it's not. It has simple and gentle ingredients, a short list where nothing is irritating; but it simply can't give me the enough hydration and moisture my skin needs, and that is something that gives me easily the Isntree's Hyaluronic acid toner.
In addition, the detail that the experiences changed according the different directions, and more when that directions implies having to obligatorily use cottons on my face, is something that I don't like. I avoid as much as possible the friction on my face, and this one that usually goes along with toners is unnecessary, with this toner it's a 'must' to make it work.

El gel balanceante viene en un frasco de vidrio y contiene 100 ml de producto, además de una espátula para poder tomar el producto desde el empaque. Es un gel engañoso, cuya apariencia no tiene nada que ver con la textura que sentiremos al aplicarlo, tampoco tiene color.
Aroma: a pesar de que ambos productos son libres de perfume, el tónico tiene olor a hierbas medicinales y el gel balanceante tiene un aroma como a raíz. No son olores molestos, y además se desvanecen rápido tras haber sido aplicados.
Textura: El tónico tiene textura líquida un poco viscosa, se esparce fácilmente por la piel, aunque se evapora rápido.
El gel balanceante posee una textura curiosa, ya que al ser sacado del frasco lo ves muy trabajable y líquido, pero al ser puesto en la piel su textura es muy muy viscosa, e incluso ofrece resistencia al frote.
Ingredientes: Ambos productos tienen en común el uso de la raíz del astrágalo, usado en la medicina tradicional coreana para calmar sensibilidades o alergias, y como acondicionador y emoliente para reparar la barrera cutánea.
El tónico además de el extracto de raíz de astrágalo, lleva arginina, que es un aminoácido similar al que se halla en la piel, que ayuda a la recuperación de heridas.
El gel balanceante, además del extracto de raíz, lleva aceite de jojoba, que es un emoliente.
Mi experiencia: Lo usé por dos periodos, cortos períodos, pues mi piel no reaccionó bien. Usé distintos métodos de aplicación y uso, para testear si los productos eran flexibles en ese sentido, o si los productos podían ser usados para distintos fines.
El primer período, fue desde el 14 de Marzo, hasta el día 21. Comencé testeando mi piel durante toda esa semana y me llevé algunas sorpresas. Lo primero, es que la humectación en mi piel bajó notablemente en comparación al período cuando usaba la crema nutrition de la misma marca, eso lo noté especialmente en las mediciones post rutina, que suelo hacer tras media hora de hecha la rutina, y en donde los niveles variaron mucho.
Lo segundo, es que mi piel aparte de ya no estar tan hidratada y humectada, perdía esta poca humectación con más facilidad.
Por ende, mi piel comenzó a irritarse.
El colmo de toda esta situación diaria, fue un día en que probé cómo se comportaría el tónico essence al ser utilizado como "mascarilla", apliqué una cantidad generosa del tónico en los algodones especiales de Skinfood y los puse en mi rostro, en mejillas y frente.
Tras 15 minutos, si bien yo sentí mi piel calmada, al quitarlos la vi tirante. De esa tirantez que obtienes cuando te lavas la cara con un limpiador alcalino y no te aplicas tónico, algo que jamás me había pasado al utilizar un tónico...
Con el gel balanceante tuve una experiencia similar, pues el primer modo de aplicación que utilicé, fue simplemente aplicarlo en el rostro como paso final, y tratar de esparcirlo en vez de presionarlo. Esparcir este gel es extremadamente difícil, pero una vez que lo conseguía, mi piel que quedaba brillantemente jugosa, a los 5 minutos estaba con un acabado mate, seca y algo áspera al tacto.
Aplicar los siguientes productos también se hacía dificultoso, el bloqueador lo debía aplicar a toques, quedando algo parchoso y nada parejo, y el maquillaje cushion tendía a lucir menos jugoso de lo habitual.
Tras esa semana de resequedad, suspendí el uso y retomé mi rutina normal, testeando otros hidratantes, donde volví a mis niveles normales de hidratación.
El segundo período fue del 4 de Abril hasta el 10 del mismo mes. Acá cambié el método de aplicación al indicado por la marca en sus afiches publicitarios y si bien obtuve mejoras notables respecto a la hidratación, éstas se vieron opacadas por la experiencia general y las dificultades en el uso de los productos y su interacción con otros productos, además de una reacción de mi piel a quizás, el exceso de fricción que tuve que realizar durante esa semana.
El modo sugerido de aplicación del tónico esencia, es aplicar el tónico en un algodón o pétalo y utilizar ese algodón para esparcirlo por la cara. En otras webs indican que luego debes dar vuelta ese algodón y palmetearlo suavemente.
Ese método, si bien soy enemiga del uso de algodones en los tónicos, me resultó en cuanto obtuve buenos resultados tanto en hidratación de la piel, como en reducción de la pérdida de la humedad en ella.
El gel balanceante lo apliqué como se indica: con la espátula debes tomar el producto del frasco y aplicar en distintos puntos del rostro y cuello. No se debe esparcir ni frotar, sino simplemente presionar o palmetear la piel y así se absorberá fácilmente.
Este método también funcionó en cuanto a dar más hidratación a la piel, obtener una piel "jugosa" por más tiempo, y para mantener la hidratación a lo largo del día, no en los niveles a los que estaba acostumbrada con la crema nutrition, pero al menos a niveles más óptimos que lo normal.
Lo malo, o negativo...es que a la hora de querer aplicar protector solar, o cualquier otro producto que necesita ser esparcido, el gel balanceante y esa capa tan especial que deja en la piel, no deja que el producto se aplique correctamente, ni menos se asiente en la piel.
Parches secos, bloqueador disparejo, bb cuarteada, son algunos de los problemas que experimenté. Y precisamente esa dificultad en aplicar cualquier otro producto posterior, es lo que me llevó a terminar con la cara irritada, y en mis patillas, muchos puntitos rojos que calmé con la aplicación de los pads de Petitfee.
Entonces, como conclusión de acuerdo a mi experiencia...lamentablemente este tónico no le sirve a mi piel. No te diré que es malo, porque no lo es. Tiene ingredientes simples y suaves, una lista cortita donde nada es irritante.
Pero simplemente se queda corto en entregar hidratación y humectación, que es algo que mi piel ya normal, necesita, y que es algo que me da sin dificultad el tónico de Isntree.
Además, el que cambie la experiencia por el modo de uso, y más cuando ese modo de uso implica tener que obligatoriamente usar algodones en mi rostro, es algo que no me gusta. Evito en lo posible la fricción en mi rostro, y ésta que usualmente con los tónicos es innecesaria, con éste tónico, es un deber para que funcione.
No sé si en piel seca pueda funcionar apropiadamente...tampoco sé si aquellos con piel sensible tolerarán pasarse algodones noche y día.
Respecto al gel balanceante, si bien la primera vez es entretenido ver su particular textura, en la piel ya no resulta agradable. Aplicar con palmaditas es cansador, y tener que aplicar consecuentemente todo el resto de productos siguientes (protector solar, primer, maquillaje) del mismo modo, cansa y satura.
Porque claro, podrías intentar aplicarlo esparciendo, pero el gel no te daría el acabado húmedo hidratante. E igual costaría aplicar los siguientes productos.
La capa que deja este gel en la piel hace que sea muy difícil aplicar productos tras este paso de hidratación. Por eso creo que la única forma de poder utilizarlo bien, sería como hidratante de noche, o cuando no vayas a salir ni acercarte a un balcón. Su acabado y textura lo hace incompatible con otros productos, y también durante su uso debes tener mucho cuidado de que lo que hayas aplicado antes se haya absorbido bien, para que no se forme una pasta blanquecina.
Podría funcionar como hidratante de noche, o sleeping pack...pero aplicando más cantidad de producto, y no aplicando nada más después.
Si bien mi experiencia esta vez fue nada cercana a lo que esperaba obtener, no me rindo con esta marca y seguiré probando otros productos...sigo recomendando la crema nutrition, si tu piel es seca o quieres un acabado bonito brillante y jugoso. Tengo en la mira el moisture serum y el aceite, cruzo los dedos porque éstos si me resulten bien.

I've used both products for specific times in different months, to test my skin reaction and evolution with this products, and how they behaved on it.
I have all my wayskin screenshots measurements, so that you can see in numbers what I will express here with words. In there, are two different experiences based on the way I used this products, but that I also had to cut abruptly because I realized that not only they weren't doing any good to my skin , but they were also damaging it.
Presentation: essence toner is a 200 ml bottle of a slightly viscous liquid - less viscous than IsNtree's hyaluronic toner and more viscous than Klairs' supple preparation toner. It doesn't have any color.
The balancing gel comes in a glass bottle and contains 100 ml of product, plus a spatula/spoon to take the product from the packaging. It is a tricky gel product, whose appearance has nothing to do with the texture that we will feel when applying it, it doesn't have color either.
Aroma: despite the fact that both products are perfume-free, the toner has a smell of medicinal herbs and the balancing gel has an aroma like roots. They aren't annoying scents, and also fade quickly after being applied.
Texture: The toner has a slightly viscous liquid texture, it spreads easily through the skin, although it evaporates quickly.
The balancing gel has a curious texture, since when you take it from the jar you see it's very workable and liquid, but when has been put on the skin its texture is very very viscous, and even offers resistance to rubbing.
Ingredients: Both products have in common the use of astragalus root, used in traditional Korean medicine to calm sensitivities or allergies, and as a conditioner and emollient to repair the skin barrier.
The toner in addition to the astragalus root extract , it has arginine, which is an aminoacid similar to that found in the skin, which helps the recovery of wounds.
The balancing gel, in addition to the root extract, contains jojoba oil, which is an emollient.
My experience: I used it for two periods, short periods, because my skin didn't reacted well. Picked different methods of application and use, to test if the products were flexible in that sense, or if the products could be used for different purposes.
The first period was from March 14 to the 21st. I started testing my skin all that week with the wayskin and I got some surprises. The first thing is that the moisture in my skin decreased significantly compared to the period when I used the nutrition cream from the same brand, that I noticed especially in the post-routine measurements, which I usually do after half an hour of the routine, and where the levels varied a lot.
The second thing is that my skin, apart from not being so hydrated and moisturized, lost this little moisture more easily. TEWL so fast 😔. Therefore, my skin began to get irritated.
The worst of all this daily situation, was a day in which I tested how the essence toner would behave when used as a "sheet mask", I applied a generous amount of the toner in the special skinfood cottons and put them on my face, cheeks and front.
After 15 minutes, although I felt my skin calm, when I removed the cottons I saw it tight. That tightness you get when you wash your face with an alkaline cleanser and you don't apply any toner, something that had never happened to me when using a toner, especially a moisturizing one...
With the balancing gel I had a similar experience, because the first way that I used, was simply to apply it on the face as a final step, and try to spread it instead of pressing it. Spreading this gel is extremely difficult, but once I got it, my skin that was brightly juicy, at 5 minutes was a matte finish, dry and somewhat rough to the touch 😓.
Applying the following products was also difficult, must apply the sunscreen only patting it, leaving some sides patchy and uneven, and the cushion makeup tended to look less juicy than usual.
After that week of dryness, I stopped using it and went back to my normal routine, testing other moisturizers, where I returned to my normal levels of hydration.
The second period was from April 4 to 10 of the same month. Here I changed the method of application to the one indicated by the brand in their advertising posters and although I obtained remarkable improvements regarding to moisture, these were overshadowed by the general experience and the difficulties in the use of the products and their interaction with other products, besides a reaction of my skin to perhaps, the excess friction that I had to perform during that week.
The suggested way of applying the essence toner is to apply the toner on a cotton or pad and use that soaked cotton to spread it over the face. In other websites indicate that then you should turn that cotton and pat it gently. I did that too.
This method, although I'm an enemy of using toners with cottons, found as soon as I got good results in both skin hydration,as in reducing the loss of moisture in it. yay for it, I couldn't believe that, really!.
I applied the balancing gel as indicated: with the spatula you should take the product from the bottle and apply in different points of the face and neck. Don't spread it or rub it, but simply press or pat the skin and it will be easily absorbed.
This method also worked in terms of giving more moisture to the skin, obtaining a "juicy" skin for longer, and to maintain hydration throughout the day, not at the levels to which I was accustomed with the nutrition cream, but at least at more optimal levels than normal.
The bad, or negative side of this... is that when I needed to apply sunscreen, or any other product that needs to be spread, the balancing gel and that special layer that sits on the skin, doesn't allow the product to be applied correctly, no less sits on the skin.
Dry patches, uneven sunscreen, cracked bb were some of the problems I experienced. And precisely this difficulty in applying any other product later, is what led me to end up with an irritation on my skin, especially in my sideburns, many little red dots that I calmed down with the application of the Petitfee pads.
So, as a conclusion according to my experience... unfortunately this essence toner doesn't goes well with my skin. I won't tell you that this product is bad, because it's not. It has simple and gentle ingredients, a short list where nothing is irritating; but it simply can't give me the enough hydration and moisture my skin needs, and that is something that gives me easily the Isntree's Hyaluronic acid toner.
In addition, the detail that the experiences changed according the different directions, and more when that directions implies having to obligatorily use cottons on my face, is something that I don't like. I avoid as much as possible the friction on my face, and this one that usually goes along with toners is unnecessary, with this toner it's a 'must' to make it work.

Actualmente, sólo puedes hallar el tónico en Jolse, ya que el gel balanceante lo ví y luego desapareció. Sospecho que podría ser debido al cambio de empaque.

Bien, espero que esta reseña les ayude a tener en cuenta varios asuntos o detalles sobre esta marca, especialmente que el uso debe ser como la marca dice... si su piel es sensible, no me atrevo a recomendarles estos productos, son realmente ymmv así que no puedo asegurar que a todos los tipos de piel les vaya a sentar bien, esto si que es una lotería.
